Every roll of wallpaper we create at Catchii begins with a blank piece of paper and a vision. Our artisans spend hours — sometimes days — perfecting each design before a single drop of ink is laid down. The process is slow by intention: handmade wallpaper is not a product of efficiency, it is a product of devotion.
The journey starts in our design studio, where patterns are sketched by hand and then refined with a mix of traditional techniques and modern tools. Once a design is approved, the printing process begins. We use a combination of screen printing and hand-blocking methods, each requiring a steady hand and a sharp eye. Layers of colour are applied one at a time, and each layer must dry completely before the next is added — a process that can take up to a week for complex designs.
The paper itself is carefully selected. We work exclusively with high-gsm, sustainably sourced paper stocks that hold pigment beautifully and stand the test of time. Our inks are water-based and non-toxic, making them safe for homes, nurseries, and commercial spaces alike.
What you receive when you order from Catchii is not just wallpaper — it is a piece of craft. Every imperfection is intentional, every variation a signature. That is the beauty of handmade: no two rolls are ever exactly alike.
